I'm Louise Lilly - welcome to my blog! I'm a 17 year old student college student studying Music, Music Tech and English Lit at A Level. Music is one of my greatest passions and I love writing so I thought why not combine the two? I've played the piano since I was around 9 years old, and I'm currently working towards my Grade 6, but my biggest interest is singing. I have loved to sing since I can remember, but had never began training until this year. I'm currently working towards my Grade 8, however I love to sing and perform outside of this. I have performed a fair amount in my life, having been in plays, musicals, dance shows, and concerts, but I've also gigged a little bit. I performed a 20 minute set at a festival local to me, with an audience of 1000 people! Was a bit daunting but I adored it. I've also gigged at my college for open days and with my different choirs. 

As I am in upper sixth, I will be going to uni next year and my current plans are to study a music-related degree in Brighton - basically the coolest place to be right now, and the hub of UK music. I'm thinking of doing a joint honours in Music Business & Events Management, and keeping aspects like performance, production and songwriting on the side. I'd love to start doing gigs regularly once I'm living down there!

Alongside my love of music, I must admit I'm also a bit of a bookworm. And so I decided I would focus this blog on three areas - a more general lifestyle section, a music section, and a section on books where I can nerd out about my recent reads.
